As an interpreter Sara is a singular force\, weaving her own experiences and artistic voice through the threads of well-chosen\, lived-in covers of songs by the likes of Josh Ritter\, Karine Polwart\, Joe Strummer\, and Led Zeppelin. \nRaised on her family’s working farm in northeast upstate New York\, she started on violin at age four and rapidly established a regional reputation as a top-flight fiddler. At 16\, Sara dropped out of school and joined legendary Celtic bluegrass outfit the McKrells. She has since worked with such artists as Richard Shindell\, Pete Seeger\, Eliza Gilkyson\, and Jim Gaudet and the Railroad Boys\, and the Gibson Brothers. DESCRIPTION:Oobleck\n\n\nOobleck is a high-octane\, five-piece funk band that’s been playing around the Capital Region\, Hudson Valley\, and Vermont since 2008. They play grungy original horn funk inspired by the after-dark variety of New Orleans street music. It’s a melee of horns\, super heavy drums and bass\, and your favorite type of chunky guitar riffing that leaves your bum shaking and your face grinning. \n \nHighly improvised\, kinetic\, effect-soaked horns create textural soundscapes with razor sharp horn lines. DESCRIPTION:High Horse\n\n\nHIGH HORSE is a Boston-based progressive-acoustic stringband breathing the energy of alternative rock into an indelible blend of Bluegrass\, Old-time\, and Folk magic with crisp vocals and virtuosic chops. Four friends with three bows\, one pick\, and great vibes deliver a rollicking romp as the band High Horse. \nComprised of fiddler Carson McHaney\, cellist Karl Henry\, guitarist G Rockwell\, and bassist Noah Harrington; the band draws from their varied musical backgrounds to explore and perform original compositions and tunes from diverse folk traditions. \nHigh Horse is based in Boston\, collecting the skills and artistry learned from their education at the Berklee College of Music and New England Conservatory. \nTheir debut album was released in 2024\, produced by world-renowned mandolinist Jacob Jolliff and engineered by sound wizard Dave Sinko. \n\n\n			\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n			\n				\n				\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				“… the boys can stack harmony vocals as well as they play their instruments…! and nothing (they do) rates anywhere south of a ten.
