SUMMARY:The Twangtown Paramours
DESCRIPTION:Nashville-based husband-and-wife duo Mike T. Lewis and MaryBeth Zamer\, known on stage as The Twangtown Paramours\, have made a name for themselves defying boundaries with their award-winning catalogue of Americana\, folk\, and blues anthems. With a slew of accolades for their first two acoustic full-length albums\, they’ve earned a loyal following\, balancing serious instrumental and vocal chops with witty stage banter and a lighthearted approach to life. They don’t take themselves\, or the world\, too seriously. Now poised to release their third full-length album\, Double Down on a Bad Thing\, The Twangtown Paramours are shifting gears to showcase a full band\, electric\, groove-oriented\, upbeat\, soul-infused\, and retro blues sound. “We want people to have fun\, to cheer up\, to dance\, and to start sporting a positive attitude\, dammit\,” says Mike.\n______________________________________________ \nOur Summer Concert Series brings the most FUN bands to Shepard Park for concerts on Wednesday nights in July and August.  All of our concerts are FREE – so grab your family and friends and bring them to Lake George for an evening of great music!\n\nView our Complete Summer Concert Series Event Calendar HERE \nOur Summer Concert Series would not be possible without the support of The Town of Lake George\, The Village of Lake George\, The New York State Council on the Arts\, and our generous members and supporters! \n\n \n  \n

SUMMARY:The Outcrops
DESCRIPTION:out·crop /ˈoutˌkräp/ : an outstanding rock formation. From the woods of Northern New Jersey\, the Outcrops bring original blues-infused rock’n’roll. The four-piece band was formed in 2016 by lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist Cassidy Rain & lead guitarist Bryan Schroeder. As a singer\, Cassidy has been compared to Bonnie Raitt and Susan Tedeschi but her raw sensibility as front person could as easily bring comparisons to blues legends like Howlin Wolf or Muddy Waters. Bryan’s playing falls somewhere between Duane Allman and Derek Trucks\, as many fans have pointed out. Bryan has also noted Jerry Garcia as a major influence. His long flowing lead lines throughout songs intertwine with Cassidy’s vocal phrases to create a very melodic sound that sets the tone for The Outcrops. The rhythm section of the band includes Jason Casanovas on bass and Max Adler on drums. Both Max and Jason bring a funk and soul feel that melds beautifully with Cassidy and Bryan creating the perfect band tag: Rock & Roll\, Blues & Soul.\n______________________________________________ \nOur Summer Concert Series brings the most FUN bands to Shepard Park for concerts on Wednesday nights in July and August. \n\n \n  \n

SUMMARY:Zikina
DESCRIPTION:Zikina is a group of people who came from across continents and cultures to show that despite all the forces in the world that emphasize our differences\, we can come together to make something beautiful and new. It doesn’t take long for this music to get you dancing\, clapping along\, connecting with the people around you\, and savoring the beauty of the present moment. You might start with curiosity when Uganda native Gideon Ampeire draws you in with a variety of traditional East African instruments that are rare and fascinating to US audiences\, including enanga (zither)\, adungu (harp)\, and kalimba (thumb piano)- all of which he builds himself. \n______________________________________________ \nOur Summer Concert Series brings the most FUN bands to Shepard Park for concerts on Wednesday nights in July and August. \n\n \n  \n
