SUMMARY:Call for Artists
DESCRIPTION:Annual Call for Artists\n\n\nThe Lake George Arts Project invites regional\, national\, emerging and established artists to submit exhibition proposals to the Courthouse Gallery. Preference is given to experimental or non-traditional work created in the last two years. We welcome proposals for special exhibitions\, installations\, mixed media presentations\, and performance art. The postmark deadline is always January 31. \nWe have New Guidelines for Submitting Exhibition Proposals:   \nTo begin the process you will need the following:\n1. 10 to 12 images (Formats accepted for upload: JPG\, TIFF or GIF)\n2. Resume/CV\n3. Artist Statement/Bio \nStarting December 1st through January 31st artists may follow this link to submit work for review:  \nCLICK HERE TO SUBMIT \nPlease do not email proposals\, or send links to web sites.\nSelection and notification is usually complete by April. \nIf you have questions\, or need more information please call LGAP at (518) 668-2616.

SUMMARY:Jazz at the Lake 2020 - Reimagined!
DESCRIPTION:This coming September we are planing a series of 4 hybrid online events combining performances and discussions with a number of Amazing Jazz musicians!\nThe Lake George Arts Project is deeply committed to bringing people together to hear and see great music. Our Jazz at the Lake program isn’t just one of our favorite events\, the magic of this weekend of concerts is created by having amazing musicians perform with one of the most beautiful lakes in the country as the backdrop. Even if we were able to present in a traditional sense this year\, it just wouldn’t be the same. Keeping artists\, the audience\, staff\, and volunteers safe is our top priority and is a responsibility we take seriously. Through many conversations\, and with the input of artists\, stakeholders and the audience\, the Lake George Arts Project Staff and Board of Directors have made the unprecedented decision to cancel our traditional Jazz at the Lake program for this year.  We are instead presenting a series of virtual events we are calling Jazz at the Lake Reimagined that will stream renown Jazz musicians straight to your living room. \nMark your Calendars! \nJazz at the Lake Reimagined Virtual Series:\nThursday\, September 3 at 7pm: Nicole Zuraitis & Dan Pugach\nThursday\, September 10 at 7pm: Frederick Johnson & Michael Ross\nThursday\, September 17 at 7pm: Dan Tepfer\nThursday\, September 24\, at 7pm: Sarah Elizabeth Charles \nOur Jazz at the Lake Reimagined program brings amazing Jazz musicians together for a series of 4 hybrid events that combine performances\, a discussion with the artists and time to ask your favorite musician the questions you’ve been eager to have answered.  All four events will be streamed via Facebook\, YouTube and on The Lake George Arts Project website. Visit our Jazz At The Lake page to learn more about the program\, or join our mailing list (at the bottom of the page). \n  \n   \nthank you to our sponsors:\n    \n     \n
