It includes original compositions by trumpet player Terry Gordon and guitarist Roger Noyes. \nIn March 2013 the band was named Best Local Jazz Band in the Metroland Readers Poll and embarked on a tour of Egypt\, performing at the Cairo Jazz Festival and other gigs. The trip was sponsored by the educational organization AMIDEAST\, the U.S. Embassy Cairo\, and the Center for American Studies at the American University in Cairo. That same year\, the band opened up for Charlie Hunter and Oleta Adams at the Albany Riverfront Jazz Festival. Drawing from their experiences in Egypt\, the group\, in October 2014\, released a 9-song sophomore album\, Blues For Soli (also on WEPA Records)\, which includes a suite of music directly influenced by their Egypt tour. In a review of the album for Metroland\, Jeff Nania writes: “This record serves to showcase the evolution of a local group’s compositional style as they continue to go beyond bop and incorporate further cultural influences into their sound.” \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n “The trio\, though named after the spaghetti Western film persona\, was the real deal. An often-mellow conversation between skilled craftsmen took off on a swinging jump blues and a clever\, playful take on Sonny Rollins’ ‘St. Thomas’ … this Capital-area band is a must-see.” \n NYC Jazz Record\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n SOLD OUT!\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n 3 DAYS • 17 SHOWSCELEBRATING 41 YEARS!\n \n \n \n \n \n \n	\n \n	\n 10 events found.	\n	\n \n	\n\n \n	\n\n \n	\n\n	\n\n\n \n \n\n \n \n\n	\n	Events\n\n	\n	\n	\n\n	\n Views Navigation	\n\n	\n	\n	\n Event Views Navigation	\n	\n \n \n \n	\n\n \n \n Photo \n \n	\n\n \n \n	\n \n	\n \n \n	\n	\n \n \n	\n	\n \n \n	\n	\n \n \n \n \n \n \n	\n\n \n \n List \n	\n\n \n	\n \n \n	\n\n \n \n Month \n	\n\n \n	\n \n \n	\n\n \n \n Day \n	\n\n \n	\n \n \n	\n\n \n \n Photo \n	\n\n \n	\n \n \n	\n\n \n \n Week \n	\n\n \n	\n \n \n	\n\n \n \n Map \n	\n\n \n\n	\n\n\n\n\n	\n\n	\n	\n \n	\n \n	\n\n	\n\n\n \n	\n \n	\n\n	\n\n	\n\n\n	\n	Today\n\n	\n	\n \n \n Upcoming \n \n Upcoming \n \n \n	\n\n	\n	\n Select date.	\n	\n	\n	\n \n	\n\n	\n	\n \n	\n\n	\n\n\n	\n	\n	\n\n\n\n\n \n \n \n List of events in Photo View \n \n\n \n \n	\n \n	\n Confluence with Jody Redhage Ferber\n \n	\n\n\n \n \n	\n \n Sep \n \n 18 \n	\n\n \n \n	\n Confluence with Jody Redhage Ferber	\n\n \n \n 6:00 pm \n - \n \n 7:15 pm \n \n \n	\n Free	\n\n \n \n	\n\n\n \n \n	\n \n	\n Jazz Around Town\n \n	\n\n\n \n \n	\n \n Sep \n \n 18 \n	\n\n \n \n	\n Jazz Around Town	\n\n \n \n 7:30 pm \n - \n \n 9:00 pm \n \n \n \n	\n\n\n \n \n	\n \n	\n Coffee & Jazz\n \n	\n\n\n \n \n	\n \n Sep \n \n 19 \n	\n\n \n \n	\n Coffee & Jazz	\n\n \n \n 10:00 am \n - \n \n 11:30 am \n \n \n	\n Free	\n\n \n \n	\n\n\n \n \n	\n \n	\n Jerome Jennings & ill Philosophy\n \n	\n\n\n \n \n	\n \n Sep \n \n 19 \n	\n\n \n \n	\n Jerome Jennings & ill Philosophy	\n\n \n \n 1:00 pm \n - \n \n 2:15 pm \n \n \n	\n Free	\n\n \n \n	\n\n\n \n \n	\n \n	\n Manuel Valera New Cuban Express\n \n	\n\n\n \n \n	\n \n Sep \n \n 19 \n	\n\n \n \n	\n Manuel Valera New Cuban Express	\n\n \n \n 3:00 pm \n - \n \n 4:15 pm \n \n \n	\n Free	\n\n \n \n	\n\n\n \n \n	\n \n	\n Shayna Steele\n \n	\n\n\n \n \n	\n \n Sep \n \n 19 \n	\n\n \n \n	\n Shayna Steele	\n\n \n \n 5:00 pm \n - \n \n 6:15 pm \n \n \n	\n Free	\n\n \n \n	\n\n\n \n \n	\n \n	\n Kneebody\n \n	\n\n\n \n \n	\n \n Sep \n \n 19 \n	\n\n \n \n	\n Kneebody	\n\n \n \n 7:00 pm \n - \n \n 8:15 pm \n \n \n	\n Free	\n\n \n \n	\n\n\n \n \n	\n \n	\n Paul Winter Consort\n \n	\n\n\n \n \n	\n \n Sep \n \n 20 \n	\n\n \n \n	\n Paul Winter Consort	\n\n \n \n 1:00 pm \n - \n \n 2:15 pm \n \n \n	\n Free	\n\n \n \n	\n\n\n \n \n	\n \n	\n Ekep Nkwelle\n \n	\n\n\n \n \n	\n \n Sep \n \n 20 \n	\n\n \n \n	\n Ekep Nkwelle	\n\n \n \n 3:00 pm \n \n \n	\n Free	\n\n \n \n	\n\n\n \n \n	\n \n	\n Miguel Zenón Quartet\n \n	\n\n\n \n \n	\n \n Sep \n \n 20 \n	\n\n \n \n	\n Miguel Zenón Quartet	\n\n \n \n 5:00 pm \n - \n \n 6:15 pm \n \n \n	\n Free	\n\n \n \n	\n\n\n \n \n\n \n\n \n	\n \n	\n \n	\n\n \n Previous Events \n	\n\n\n \n	\n Today	\n\n\n \n	\n \n Next Events \n \n	\n\n	\n\n	\n\n\n \n	\n \n \n Subscribe to calendar \n \n	\n\n \n \n \n \n\n	\n Google Calendar	\n\n \n\n	\n iCalendar	\n\n \n\n	\n Outlook 365	\n\n \n\n	\n Outlook Live	\n\n \n\n	\n Export .ics file	\n\n \n\n	\n Export Outlook .ics file
