Artist’s Reception: Yen Ha & Anna Rubin “A Storm Event”
About the Reception
Join the Lake George Arts Project at the Courthouse Gallery on August 22nd to celebrate the opening of A Storm Event, a multi-media installation by Yen ha & Anna Rubin.
The opening reception is a wonderful opportunity to meet the artists, discuss their unique creative processes, and mingle with fellow members of our regional arts community. Light refreshments will be served.
About the Exhibition
The exhibition surrounds the viewer both visually and aurally in marks that appear to move on the page while sounds weave through the space. The combination of activated senses deepens the connection to the natural experience of a storm, reminding visitors of the ferocious energy of nature. The delicate materiality of the small strokes on paper is echoed in the pinpoints of sound rippling through the musical composition. Rubin’s musical composition swells and subsides, the multi-layered music evoking the powerful sweep of Ha’s work.
A Storm Event will be on display at the Courthouse Gallery from August 19th through August 22nd.
Gallery Hours
Wednesday through Friday, 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM, and Saturdays, 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM.
The Courthouse Gallery is located at the side entrance of the historic Old County Courthouse, on the corner of Canada and Amherst Streets in Lake George Village. All exhibitions and receptions are free and accessible to all.
