Join artist, Joan Reid, for a day of plein air painting on the beautiful grounds of the Sembrich Museum in Bolton Landing.
For two hundred years, artists have found inspiration on the shores of Lake George. Among them, Georgia O’Keeffe, whose unique style and colorist approach to painting landscapes and landscape elements defined her as a pioneer and one of the great Modernists. Participants in this workshop can look forward to a brief history of Georgia O’Keeffe’s work and painting life in Lake George, as well as a lesson in her style and approach to the landscape.
This workshop is one of many community events celebrating the life and work of Georgia O’Keeffe and her time in Lake George taking place in July and is presented in partnership with The Lake George Arts Project, The Sembrich Museum, Joan Reid, The Guild of Adirondack Artists, and the Adirondack Institute.
